Shooting People is a community of thousands of filmmakers, writers, actors and crew from all over the UK, New York and Los Angeles too. It was founded in 1998 and has partnerships with a wide range of film festivals and other film organisations and events.



Contents

Membership/ free stuff

Shooting People costs £30 a year to join as a full member but there is quite a lot of the site that can be accessed for free (such as Ingrid Kopp's excellent Tools Blog).

Email bulletins

There are a number of email bulletins to sign up for - a daily documentary bulletin goes to over 8,000 subscribers (members only) and the fortnightly busy bees (free to anyone).

Patrons

Documentary patrons include Albert Maysles, Morgan Spurlock and Cara Mertes (from Sundance Institute Documentary Program). Other patrons include Larry Charles what is adipex, Mike Figgis and Michael Nyman.

Short docs on the site

Shooting People hosts over 4000 shorts made by members on the WATCH FILM part of the site including about 1000 documentaries such as Steal This Film. Each month the new films uploaded are voted on by members as diet pills Film of the Month. The top 3 films then get watched and a review written by a Shooting People patron.
