In Kind

If you are going the independent route, you can almost be certain that your 'in kind' donations will make up a whole chunk of your budget. If your crew give their time in kind, then make sure you treat, feed and credit them well. Remember that by donating their time for free they might as well be putting hard cash into your budget.

It can be possible to have cameras, time in facilities houses, transport donated in kind but, remember the people you are talking to will probably be asked for freebies, deals, special treatment all the time, so really think how your project will stand out. It is so important to show professionalism, evidence of a well planned, thought out and organised project for which you have enthusiasm and commitment.

How much you can get 'in kind' will depend a little on your all too important blagging skills.
