Synopsis

Eighteen young people from Liverpool got together to write a feature film called 'Under The Mud'. Producers Roy Boulter and Sol Papadopoulos from Hurricane Films nurtured them through the writing and production process over a period of seven years, to the release of the film on DVD in November 2009. 'Simple As' represents the reflections of a few of the writers and cast about their experiences and how being part of a successful film production has changed their lives.

'Simple As' contrasts the reflections of Mick Colligan and Howie Davies about their involvement in the making of Under the Mud with a day at a Farmer's Market trying to sell copies of their newly released DVD. The team spirit that carried them through the long years of writing, fundraising and producing the film are tested by the cold reality of marketing without the sponsorship of a major distributor.
