Synopsis

On a wild and enchanted beach, thousands of grey seals gather each autumn to breed. See how a pup develops from the moment of birth until departing into the sea alone. At birth the mother and pup kiss, signifying the beginning of an intense love. For 18 days they are inseparable, the mother nourishes her pup and does not feed herself. Finally, starving and exhausted the mother heartbreakingly must abandon her pup. Observe up close their intimate relationship and supernova-like maternal bond.
