Synopsis
Becken and Rukiza uncovered the most brutal traditional way of killing pigs within the poverty stricken environment in the North Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, in a resource rich area of Kisangani. In this region 80% of the population live on less than $1 a day. There is not enough food to eat. People eat pork intestines filled with pig’s blood roasted on an open fire for meal. This is a common fast food on the streets. The film follows this inhumane process which produces this ready meal

The original footage is 2 hours HDV format on the tapes covering the activities of people, the negotiation of fixing prices between village -man pig owner and dealers in the city. The dealer with butchers, and the dealer with the retailer. The footage contains interviews of local experts, pig dealers, retailers and people working in the slaughterhouse. Also emotional images of children involving in the activities to get money for school fees. Is set to make a tight 45 minutes documentary.
